For Nomi

Tue Aug 18, 2009, 3:32 PM
One of my favorite artists on the site, Nomi Chi (aka :icongod-of-insects:) is going through a tough time in her life right now. Her boyfriend was just hit by a car, and his injuries are life-threatening. Please, if whoever reads this could hop over to her DA page and offer your thoughts, I think it would help her in this time.

deviantID

Greetings from a 27 year old musician, poet, and dark artist residing in one of the most horrifying states: California. If you live or have been there, you know what I'm saying. :) The past ten years of my life have been rough and multifaceted, to say the least, and you'll sense my need for escapism and the realms beyond that which we're all accustomed to. My works will speak for themselves better than this damn info ever could. Anyone who wishes can email me at aethernal@hotmail.com. Thank you, and good night.

Hey, Nathan

Haven't heard from you in quite a while, and I myself was living without the internet for a solid block of time, so I thought I'd drop by. How are you doing?

Ehh, things are alright I suppose.. I got called in at work today as a last resort *bottles up the anger* but of course, I'm too nice to say 'no' so I agreed to cover her shift.. besides, work will distract me for a little while..

LOL, I hear you about not being able to say no. It's like, 'shit, my day is now ruined b/c I have to work but at least I made someone's day better' type of deals... work is a good distraction, tho, what type of place do you work at?

I work at a liquor store ^.^ *is not an alcoholic despite what my friends say*

It's a pretty good job. I've recieved two raises and only two sick days in the past year so I'm kind of proud of that. It's the longest job that I've been able to keep so far. And every so often my boss gives me restaurant gift cards as an "I appreciate your hard work" type of deal, which comes in handy when mom and I go out to eat, haha.

I.W.,
I am heartily embarassed, as 1)I'm not sure what your message means because 2)I think I may have forgotten to complete the comment I had been writing for your "Summer ID" pic. Is that what we’re discussing here? :) I'm really sorry for these ridiculous questions of mine, but I am completely lost and feel somewhat out of sorts.
Anyhow, I visited your page because I saw in :icontworoads: journal that you had listed Saw and Hostel as the type of horror movie you hate. I had just written something of the sort about a week ago, and had used both those movies to describe my dislike for the ‘sado-porn’ horror genre that seems so popular worldwide. Even the Asian horror genre has its branches that specialize in brutal, graphic, unnecessary gore; though, AH films such as: Silk, Acacia, Ringu, The Unborn (Thai version), and Cello are all masterpieces of subtle, chilling horror in the classic vein, per se. Those are 'true horror' films, IMO.

From the previews I saw on your homepage, your writings rock and I will read them soon...

Take care!

Actually the comment was in referrence to the paragraph under your ID. Many people these days don't take the time out to write words out or end sentences, and generally they make me feel like my eyes are going to bleed. I was just elated to see that you didn't have lazy fingers. :D

Sado-porn horror. That's the perfect title for those fails. Personally I'm sickened at those kinds of movies and don't want to get a look at the minds that created them.

Anyways, thanks for your interest in my writing. What I have is a little old but if you decide to read them I appreciate your taking the time to do so.

Hope I cleared things up for you.

:iconof-remembrance:
OOOHHHH, ok, now I understand!! I totally misread your post, and that makes more sense now.

When faced with what to write beneath my ID, I decided to keep it quick, honest, and grammatically correct. :D

Yeah totally agree regarding that type of film...it's like all the directors are that seventh grade kid who needs help taming his unnecessary violently sexual thoughts, but never gets the help, and one day somehow becomes a director of hollywood shit horror. Augh.

I'm going to add a few of your pieces to my faves, as I really liked them, stand by.

Totally cleared things up, Lilly, thanks!!! :)

 Thank you for the support on my deviations, and for your grammatic correctness. Hehe. After I wrote that comment I was worried I was only confusing things more! You probably aren't far off with the hollywood directors either. ;)

Keep in touch.
